Using a sign cabinet
Change messages, symbols, cycles and power from the physical controller.
Open and edit
Approach the ground controller. With FS-Lib selected, E enters the controller and G opens/closes the door without entering the menu. Target backends provide their interaction options instead.
Only one player owns a controller at a time. The camera moves to the cabinet LCD; use its controls and the physical keypad. Escape leaves the view. Actions shown depend on your permissions.
Click a message line to type. Enter accepts; Escape restores the previous line. Accepted edits apply automatically. Check the status before moving on. Symbols, alignment and switches apply as changed. On a matrix gantry, select Forward face or Reverse face first.
Cycling messages
For a matrix display, enable Cycle, choose a numbered page and edit its lines, alignment and symbol. Use 2–8 pages and an interval from 2–30 seconds. Turning cycling off retains the pages and shows page 1. Lane heads do not cycle.
Lane controls
Select the direction and lane, then choose a symbol or speed. Speeds must be 5–85 in steps of five. Apply to all lanes copies the selected lane to the current direction only. Warning lights and power are independent of text linking.

Linked content and both gantry faces
SHARED MESSAGE indicates edits will affect linked targets. Use Link signs for map-based linking. On compatible matrix gantries, the main page offers Link both sides using Forward text, Reverse text or group text, and Unlink sides. Read the source shown before linking: that content replaces the other side's text. Directional symbols stay independent. See linking.
Power and leaving
Display power retains saved messages. Optional FS-Blackout integration hides displays and cabinet screens during a blackout, then restores their previous power settings. Door work lights also follow blackout.
Leaving the session closes its cabinet door. Walking away, dying, disconnecting or losing the heartbeat releases the session. Nearby players can see the physical screen, but only the operator controls it.
