Configuration
Owner-facing settings in config.lua.
Edit the installed config.lua, then restart the resource when ready. Keep placements in data/signs.json, not in the config.
| Setting | Supplied value | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
Config.Interaction | 'fs-lib' | Select FS-Lib, qb-target or ox_target. |
Config.AdminCommand | 'signadmin' | Administration command name. |
Config.Access | See permissions | Separate administration, cabinet, editing, linking, repair and sabotage access. |
Config.ServiceDuration.repair | 6000 | Minimum repair time, milliseconds. Correct wiring is also required. |
Config.ServiceDuration.sabotage | 4500 | Minimum physical sabotage time, milliseconds. |
Config.BulletDamage.enabled | true | Allow weapon hits to damage sections. |
Config.BulletDamage.hitsToDisable | 10 | Accumulated hits per section. |
Config.ExplosionDamage.enabled | true | Allow networked explosion damage. |
Config.ExplosionDamage.radius | 12.0 | Distance in metres from display housings. |
Config.ExplosionDamage.strength | 2.5 | Blast damage multiplier; distance and blast strength also matter. |
Config.AutoBreak | Disabled; 60–180 minutes | Random breakdown countdown per healthy section. |
Config.AutoRepair | Disabled; 10–30 minutes | Automatic recovery countdown per failed section. |
Config.PlacementFile | 'data/signs.json' | Placement file relative to the resource. |
Config.LinkedSigns.maxGroups | 64 | Maximum live groups, capped at 64. |
Config.LinkedSigns.maxMembers | 64 | Maximum members per group, capped at 64. |
Config.LuxPermissions | Disabled; mode 'require'; maximum age 5 seconds | Optional LUX authorization. |
Optional automatic faults
Config.AutoBreak = { enabled = false, minMinutes = 60, maxMinutes = 180 }
Config.AutoRepair = { enabled = false, minMinutes = 10, maxMinutes = 30 }These are independent switches. Delays use whole minutes from 1 to 10080. If maximum is lower than minimum, the minimum is used for both. Faults persist, but countdown progress resets on restart. Timers also run for signs outside streaming range and signs with display power off.
Turning off automatic breakdown does not turn off bullet damage, explosion damage or permitted wiring sabotage. Turning off automatic repair leaves damaged sections for manual repair.
Storage
The JSON stores sign IDs, placement, display content, damage and live links. Successful saves keep a previous-version .bak and check the written data before broadcasting. Keep your own backups too.
Stop the resource before manually changing JSON. Restore a known-good JSON or backup if loading fails. Session ownership and open doors are temporary; they reset on restart.
