Import & export
Add vehicle lists from supported JSON files without overwriting your catalog by default.
Open either organizer and choose Import JSON. Select a file with Choose file, or paste the complete JSON contents. The dialog detects the format and previews the folder/vehicle counts.
Supported files
| Source | File to select | What is imported |
|---|---|---|
| FS-VehicleHub | Exported JSON or the resource's menu.json | Folders, vehicles, and supported saved configurations |
| vMenu | config/addons.json | Vehicle spawn codes in an Addon Vehicles folder |
| BigDaddyScripts Vehicle Menu | menu.json | Nested categories, vehicle names, spawn codes, and permission names |
| Albo1125 VehicleSpawnMenu | vehicles.json | Nested categories, vehicle names, spawn codes, plates, and liveries |
The file's contents identify the format, so a renamed copy also works. Select the JSON data file, not a ZIP, Lua configuration, screenshot, or individual vehicle asset file.
vMenu's addon list does not contain personal saved vehicles, customizations, or permissions. Peds and weapons in that file are ignored. Imports do not transfer another menu's appearance, keybinds, or player preferences.
Append or replace
Append is selected by default. It adds imported entries at the library root while preserving existing folders and vehicles.
If two entries in the same folder have the same name, the dialog asks which one to rename: the existing entry or the imported entry. Names are compared without case or surrounding spaces. Cancelling leaves your draft unchanged, including pending conflict renames.
Replace replaces the entire current draft's contents. Use this only when you want the imported file to become the whole library. It does not publish until you save, and the import is one undoable change.
Finish the import
- Choose the file or paste its full contents.
- Review the detected format, counts, and import mode.
- Resolve any naming conflicts.
- Choose Import into draft.
- Review the folders, spawn codes, and ACE permissions.
- Choose Save changes to keep/publish the result.
Permission names are imported literally. Ensure the intended groups have those ACEs before saving the shared catalog. Folders are listed before vehicles when the source format stores them in separate arrays.
Imports create new entry IDs and fresh odometers. They do not restore another player's saved identity or mileage. Unsupported or invalid data produces an error for review rather than being accepted blindly. The file size limit is 8 MB.
Export
Export JSON exports the current draft in Vehicle Hub's format, including unsaved edits. Keep an export before a major reorganization or before reloading a conflicting draft.
An export is a vehicle-list/preset backup, not a complete backup of accounts, favorites, mileage, or FS-Lib settings. For those, back up the server's resource KVP data as well as the catalog files.
